Itinerary

Day 1 Visit Panda Base and Wuhou Temple

In the morning, at 07:30am, the driver and the guide pick up you from the hotel and drive you to the Panda Base to see cute pandas. The Giant Panda has its habitat exclusively in China. It is known worldwide as a rare treasure, a symbol of auspiciousness and friendship and a messenger of peace. the Chengdu Panda Base has not only dedicated itself to giant panda conservation, but has also made great efforts to combine natural scenery and man-made landscapes to create wonderful and humane living areas for giant pandas, red pandas, and other Chinese endangered animals. You spend almost half day at the base and leave at 11:30am normally. And the driver drives you to Wuhou Temple.

In the afternoon, maybe at 12:30pm, you arrive at the Wuhou Temple which is a memorial temple for Zhugeliang who was a famous and great prime minister in the three kingdoms period. You can have your lunch on the street outside the temple which is called Jinli Street, a quite traditional style street in Chengdu.

In the evening, you can choose to watch the Sichuan Opera which begins at 20:00pm and end at 21:30pm. You can drink the chinese tea while enjoy the splendid traditional performances. One of the highlights is face changing, the unique skills in the opera which may bring your exclamation of surprise. It can only be booked in advance to keep the seats for you. And the admission charge is 150rmb per person.

Day 2: Visit Dujiangyan and Mt.Qingcheng

At 07:30am, drive you to visit Dujiangyan Irrigation Project which claims to be the oldest irrigation project in China. And it is proclaimed a historical monument of science and technology and a wonder of the world. And then drive you to visit Mt.Qingcheng. It is a well-known summer resort and scenic area which enjoys popularity as the "most secluded mountain under the heaven". It is one of the places where Taoism, the only religion native to China, originated. As a famous Taoist mountain, it has some 70 Taoist temples and 38 Taoist remains. Drive back to Chengdu and overnight in Chengdu.
