At Chengdu Gingko Garden Youth Hostel, you will be able to enjoy the peace and quiet of home while taking advantage of its prime downtown location and accessible transportation. The hostel gets its name from the Gingko trees that decorate its beautiful, courtyard style garden. The Gingko is the city tree of Chengdu , and its fan-shaped leaves provide a lush green canopy in the summer and turn a lovely golden-yellow in autumn.

Sichuan University, the Foreign Language Bookstore, Qingshi Qiao pet and plant market, Wang Jiang Bamboo Park, Sichuan Provincial Museum, Temple of Marquis Wu (Wu Hou Ci), Qing Yang Palace (Taoist temple), Du Fu ' s Thatched Cottage, and Fu Nan River can all be conveniently reached from the Gingko Garden Youth Hostel. Nearby the hostel is a swimming pool (open in summer months) and a badminton court. If you have come to Chengdu to experience its famous food, just walk out the front gate of the hostel down Ke Hua Street, where you can find everything from traditional Sichuanese cuisine to Western food, hotpot to coffee, simple to gourmet. There are also many bars along the Fu Nan River, a variety of teahouses within walking distance, and discos of all types — all ideal places to explore Chengdu ' s social scene or just relax .
