Itinerary
In the morning, Pick up you in your hotel,we leave Chengdu for the Reasearch Base for Giant Panda Breeding just 10 kms north to Chengdu, where you can see the lovely tender pandas.You can also take pictures with a panda in your arms by donating some money for panda base.
Come back to the hotel before the lunch time,end this trip.

Situated in the North of Chengdu at the foot of FutouMountain, Chengdu¡¯s Panda Breeding Research Base was opened in 1987 in order to protect and breed Pandas, and to save them from extinction. The Giant Pandas live on 35 hectares in an area simulating their wild habitat. The center is planning on expanding to 200 hectares to accommodate a half way point for Pandas re-entering the wild. Due to rampart deforestation, poaching, and human movement throughout China, the wild Pandas now mainly live in the 6 mountain ranges in Southwestern China - Minshan, Qinling, Qionglai, Liangshan, Daxiangling and Xiaoxiangling.

The Research Centre begin with 6 Pandas saved from the wild, and as of August 2004, there was a population of 42 Pandas at the base. From 1987 until August 2004, they have managed to successfully breed 45 Pandas from 65 pregnancies. A few of the Pandas born at the research base, are now living in America, Japan, and Beijing.
