The Tour Route of Shuzheng Valley is reputed as the epitome of Jiuzhaigou, with mystic and unpredictable independent lakes and lake clusters, as well as colorful beaches, century-old grinderies, wood bridges, and powerful waterfalls. The major scenic spots in Shuzheng Valley are Double-Dragon Lake, Bonsai Beach, Reed Lake, Spark Lake, Tiger Lake, Shuzheng Waterfall, Rhinoceros Lake, and Nuorilang Waterfall, etc.

The Penjing(Bonsai) Beach
Beyond the Heye Village is a stretch of travertine beaches, on which slow water blankets sweep through weeds, poplar, azaleas, pines, cypresses, willows and other shrubs. Glittering water runs through woods that stand in varied poses, as if the mountain god has placed a wonderful bonsai collection that excels the best of human ail works.
 

The Luwei Lake
The Luwei Lake is a semi-swamp lake with thick weeds all over, where streams of verdant and glittering water run through reed stems. In spring and summer, trans- parent currents and reeds share the same green color; in autumn and winter, reeds turn eye-striking golden yellow. Soft reed flakes float in the air, attracting groups after groups of herons and wild geese that are tapping water and vitalizing life.
 

Shuzheng Waterfall
Shuzheng Waterfall is the first waterfall you will encounter in the valley. It is 62 meters (about 203 feet) wide and 15 meters (about 49 feet) tall. Though it is the smallest of the four main waterfalls in Jiuzhaigou Valley, it will bring heart quakes to first time visitors. The green forests surround nineteen lakes of different sizes and levels. The lake water in the upper reaches flows slowly along the shoal and is divided into countless streams by the groves in the lake. Then the streams join on the top of Shuzheng Waterfall and suddenly drop down to the lower lakes. The sprays fly in the air, creating an elegant screen.

Nuorilang Waterfall
Nuorilang Waterfall is 32 meters (about 105 feet) wide and 25 meters (about 82 feet) tall, and it is the widest waterfall in Jiuzhaigou Valley. Nuorilang means 'grand and magnificent' in Tibetan, so it is a gorgeous waterfall. The top of the waterfall is very flat. It is said that originally there was no waterfall but a platform here long ago. Then a monk brought a spinning wheel when he returned to this place. A Tibetan girl learnt the skill of spinning very soon, so she carried the wheel to the platform and showed her sisters how to spin. The cruel man Roza considered that she was doing something evil and kicked her, as well as the spinning wheel off the cliff. In no time, torrents rushed Roza and his accomplices down the mountain, so the platform had turned into the waterfall. When the sun shines in the morning, flowery rainbows can be seen in the sky, which make the waterfall more charming and splendid.

Rize Valley

Mirror Lake
Mirror Lake, wrapped by forests, is a narrow and long lake about 1,000 meters (1,094 yards) in length. One of the best views of Jiuzhaigou, the inverted reflection on the lake water is as clear as that of a mirror, which creates an exact copy of the ground and aerial images (into the water surface. In early morning when rosy dawn reddens the horizon and the water is calm. The blue sky, white clouds and snow mountains are all reflected on the lakebed, into such a wonderful view of "Fish swims among clouds, and birds fly in water." A thick rattan on the lake bank tangles a tall tree, both jointly pushing themselves up into the sky. Under the tree, you will have endless imaginations: greenness that the tree furnishes the rattan, the lingering feeling of the rattan to the tree. Thus, the Jing Lake is affectionately called the Lovers' Park, where lovers coming from afar may take a photo to express their loyalty to each other.

Five-Flower Lake (Wuhua Lake)
The pride of Jiuzhaigou Valley, Five-Flower Lake lies at the end of the upper reach of Peacock River, 2,472 meters (about 8,110 feet) above the sea level and five meters (about 16 feet) in depth. Tucked under in deep cliffs, it neighbors the Tian'e Lake as its lower end. It shapes like a long belt, quiet and graceful. As the deep valley prevents sunlight from coming in until very late of the day, the lake gives off a mysterious bearing. In summer and autumn, in grass groves are yellow, white, red, and purple spots of flowers. Waterfowls sweep in and out of the flowery blankets, giving out ringing calls once in a while, when you feel even bleaker in the deep valley. In autumn, wild grass turns yellow. Looking from a distance, you will feel a bit nostalgic. Especially in rainy days, light blue mists hover on the water, while raindrops drive into water like millions of silver arrows. Green rings splash up and present a hollow realm.

Panda Lake (Xiongmao Lake)
Pandas are regarded as lucky and endearing animals. It is said that giant pandas of Jiuzhaigou often come over to drink, to play and to look for food. Hence the name Xionmao(Panda) Lake . Its water is transparent with attractive sights of Inverted reflections. Beyond the blue sky are erecting peaks overlooking their images in water.

Virgin Forest
About 52% area of Jiuzhaigou Valley is covered by virgin forest and the forest at the top of Rize Valley is part of it. The virgin forests will end your tour of the Rize Valley, where forests shed off the sunlight, rattans and vines crisscross on your way. Here grow arbors that mainly include first and spruces, and shrubs like honeysuckles, azaleas, arrows bamboo, as well as thick lichens. Here, you will enjoy the feeling of stepping on soft lichen blankets, fragrant humid air, huge pine trees and birds' singing. In mountain winds and verdant forests, you seem to transcend the unearthly thoughts. According to scientists, the spot has a high content of negative oxygen ion, with a density of 9,500 /cm -a real natural oxygen bar in woods.

Zechawa Valley
Zechawa Valley, 18 kilometers (about 11 miles) in length, is the longest and highest route in Jiuzhaigou. Overlooking from a distance, you will have a full view of the U-shaped valley, under the sun and covered with glaciers. Looking a far from on Mt. Duo?? Erna, you will find tranquil snow peaks and meandering mountain ranges, as if you were touring around in the universe.

Five-Colored Pond (Wucai Pond)
The old Chinese legend said that there was a colorful lake, Jasper Lake, in the palace of the Queen Mother of the West. However, nobody has seen it with his own eyes. In Jiuzhaigou Valley you can truly appreciate the colorful lake, which is the small but exquisite Five-Colored Pond in Zechawa Valley. Of all the Jiuzhaigou lakes, it is small but most graceful, noted for its bright and distinct colors. Cobbles on the bottom shape in prisms of clearly visible chromatics between texture and water plants. Under the shining sun, the water forever appears dark blue, glittering and verdant.
